The African Methodist Episcopal Church cordially invites
media representatives to the opening session and evening program of 11th.
Episcopal District, Tampa Florida Conference on Tuesday, October 14th.
at 10am and 7pm. AMEC members from the Fort Myers, St. Petersburg and Tampa
districts will gather to complete the conference year and prepare for God’s
future blessings. The conference dates are October 14-18.
The Senior Bishop of the AME church, Bishop John Hurst Adams
and his wife, Dr. Dolly D. Adams will oversee this joyous gathering. The
preacher of the hour for the opening service will be Reverend Mazie Rojas,
representing the Tampa District.
On Tuesday evening at 7pm the men’s auxiliary of the AMEC,
The Son’s of Allen will present their Hero’s for the People
awards and service. The purpose of this program is to remember and
recognize African American public safety officers for their meritorious
service and dedication to the community, and to ready future heroes.
